Sneak Peek: Bright Bazaar Book

I'm so excited to share today's post… You see four years ago, through our blogs I met a special person who since then has become one of my closest friends, and I have enjoyed watching him blossom into a successful young man.

I knew immediately that Will Taylor aka Bright Bazaar for many of you, was destined for a bright future. His talent has no end and his vision for colour is quite extraordinary. So it came as no surprise when he announced he was going to publish his first book: Bright Bazaar: Embracing Colour for Make-You-Smile Style.

This book is a total feast for colour lovers but what I mostly love, is that it has a friendly approach to colour, giving confidence to those that are not so brave with bright palettes. Will's blog is brought to life making it rather personal, which is why this interiors book is really special and different to all the rest.

One of my favourite features are Will's travel photos taken by himself - it's what makes this book really stand out. I also love the mood boards that accompany his colour cocktail chapters. More importantly I'm over the moon that Will got to work with photographer Andrew Boyd, which is also his first book. I've worked many times with Andrew for Heart Home magazine so it really is a match made in heaven.

All I can say is that this book simply makes me happy and I cannot wait to get my copy personally signed by the lovely man himself!

You can order the UK version here and pre-order the US version here.

Dwell's New Collection

I'm really liking the new SS14 collection from Dwell. Adopting a more mature approach whilst still maintaining the element of fun, dwell’s new collection includes elements of natural wood, fashion-inspired leather and colour-blocking, solid marble, reinvented classics and creative contrasting; creating a well-rounded, focused product offering for the modern home. Dwell’s signature storage and space saving solutions are also evident throughout the collection.
With hints of mustard, claret tones and Spring notes throughout, dwell’s SS14 range is the ideal addition to inject life into a room and shake off the winter blues.

I love some of the bright coloured items that dwell have to offer. Here are a few of my favourites.

I obviously couldn't resist the softer shades of colour, so here is my ultimate wish list...

Off I go to buy some of these pretty items - perfect timing as I'm decorating the place.

A Quick Hello + Pretty Blues

Just to say a quick hello as I'm busy all week on photoshoots… I just wanted to share with you these lovely images. Spring is in the air and I am obsessing over pale blue tones. They seem to be everywhere especially in interiors. Such a refreshing and cool colour, yet so soft and it beautifully reflects natural light…

Have a lovely Tuesday!

Decorate With Flowers

There are so many fabulous books coming out this Spring so today I'm excited to share with you a sneak peek of Decorate with Flowers by Holly Becker and Leslie Shewring. If you love flowers then then you will love this. Every page has a feel good factor and is a breath of fresh air, perfect for this time of year.

A fun and innovative approach on how to simply decorate with flowers around the home. Filled with great DIY projects and with eight gorgeous styles, from neons to pastels and many more. I obviously got slightly excited with the pastel chapter, just so much prettiness. I'm looking forward to trying out some of the projects during the Easter holidays when I will have a little time to myself.

A definite book to have for the new season. Here is just a small sneak of what's inside and to tempt you a little ;)

New Wallpaper Collection By Jessica Zoob For Romo Black Edition

I have always been a fan of Jessica zoob's work (having also featured her in Heart Home magazine) so I was thrilled when the Romo for Black Edition decided to collaborate with the British artist.

The fabric and wallcovering collection called 'Desire' features six of Zoob’s paintings, with further works translated into a range of cushions. With state of the art digital printing the paintings are brought to life on pure linen, soft cotton velvet and a wide-width, light weight linen, with meticulous attention given to capturing the individual brushstrokes and layers of paint that add the depth and intrigue visible in Jessica’s paintings.

‘I’m very excited to see my paintings recreated on fabrics and wallcoverings, Romo have created an exquisite and timeless collection which I am incredibly proud to be a part of.’ Jessica Zoob

I particularly love the wallpaper designs as they retain the impressive scale of the originals and most of them are printed on two 70 cm wide rolls which seamlessly fit together creating a design which is 140cm wide.

This collection is just so perfect now that we are heading into spring, wouldn't you agree?! Here's a  look at the collection - I do hope you like it. Also on this note I wish you all a fabulous weekend!

Introducing Willow & Hall

I don't know about you but I sometimes struggle when looking for sofas and armchairs. It's not easy trying to find something with personality and that is quintessentially British. Therefore I was excited to have recently discovered a new website, Willow & Hall.

Willow & Hall sells high quality sofa beds, sofas, armchairs and mattresses. . . a range of lovely products where you don't have to break the bank.

With each item handmade to order, Willow & Hall make sure to endeavour their customers' needs by giving the best quality and value possible as well as super comfy and beautiful products.

I was mainly taken by their sofas, a lovely choice of simple but pretty designs, with an array of pretty fabrics to choose from, you really are spoilt for choice. What's more, if you are not satisfied they will offer you a full money back guarantee. Oh and did I mention they also offer free delivery!!!

More importantly all of their products are handmade in the UK (Wiltshire to be precise) by a family run business with over 35 years experience making high quality furniture. They’re also incredibly talented and passionate about what they do, refusing to cut corners to ensure they make a great product. It certainly shows and I have to say I'm quite impressed...

My eBay Collections

I love shopping and who doesn't? eBay UK has always been a great source of inspiration for me, finding great bargains and great products. So when I was contacted by them to be a part of their 'New Collections' campaign I was ecstatic. All I had to do was create a few collections using their products. The concept is similar to Pinterest where you create collections of your favourite products from their site and place them in moodboards. This new feature was launched last week in the UK and has been a tremendous hit in the US.

Here is a look at three of my twelve collections that I have created...

Anyone close to me knows I am a lover of pastel colours, they are simply feminine and pretty! I just cannot seem to get enough of pastels. I do love a bit of candy but don’t we all?! These sweet accessories can make any home a happy place. You can see more of this collection here.

Lighting is what makes a room and I always like to think of it as layers on a cake... The more layers you create the more grand the cake is, so the same applies for our interiors. One can never have too much lighting ;). Click here to see more of this collection.

Monochrome is probably one the coolest and most stylish combination there is. This sleek combo just makes any space uber cool. Check out my Monochrome Bliss collection here.

I hope you like what I've created - it has been a lot of fun. Do make sure to pop by my page to have a look at the rest of my Collections, from 'Stripe Tastic', 'Chevron Mania', 'Shabby Chic', 'Nautical Vibe' and lots lots more.

The Right Window Dressing For My Home

I'm a bit indecisive whether I should be getting curtains for the home, and if so what kind of style. So many decisions to make that I have narrowed it down to few options...

I do like these from Bluebellgray - they are vibrant and fun and would really light the space up as my living room can be quite dark at times. The question is could I live with such a vibrant pattern or would I get bored very quickly - I am known to change my mind very often.

Then there is this beautiful option, taken from Cabbages & Roses - something with less pattern and more easy on the eye. My only concern is it could be too dark for my space but I do love the cosy feel this gives.

Voiles can be so dreamy as they create an atmosphere and yet let in so much light. Could be a match made in heaven.

Or perhaps I should just go with shutters - easy, sophisticated and clean without darkening the space too much.

For a selection of Curtains and blinds there is a great range available from curtains-blinds.co.uk.

Friday Inspiration: American Trade Hotel

Today I am feeling inspired by these images of The American Trade Hotel, which opened its doors last fall in Panama City, occupying a lovingly restored landmark building in Casco Viejo. The property stands at the ecological and cultural crossroads of the Americas, deeply connected to both the historic Old Quarter and the nascent new Panama City – a meeting place for influencers, creatives and cultures from around the world.

The interiors are a pure mix of past and present influences. The beautiful floor tiles used through out the hotel are to die for and I am also loving the mid century modern furniture pieces...

Simply divine!

Wishing you all a lovely weekend...
